Southern Vectis is marking English Tourism Week by calling on local people and visitors to get out and enjoy all the spectacular scenery and attractions the Island has to offer.
The bus operator is supporting the initiative, which runs from today (Saturday 25th March) until Sunday (2nd April), by highlighting the abundance of attractions across the region.
Southern Vectis’ Head of Communications, Nikki Honer said:
“We’re proud to provide bus services in an area so blessed by beautiful scenery and spectacular coastline – and our Needles Breezer service is designed to highlight everything this area has to offer.
“Tourism is vital here because it touches everyone in the area – from visitors, residents, businesses and employees. It is a major industry, and we want to show our support for all those who contribute to the island’s excellent reputation by providing as many people as possible with the chance to enjoy this wonderful destination.”
The open-top Needles Breezer service follows the Island’s dramatic Jurassic coastline and offers some outstanding countryside views in between.
It climbs up the cliff edge to a point high above the Needles Rocks and Lighthouse. And it also takes in the picturesque harbour town of Yarmouth, beautiful Freshwater Bay and weaves its way into the fun filled Needles Park and Alum Bay.
It is particularly popular amongst, locals and holiday makers, young and old – and concessionary customers can use their passes to take a wonderfully relaxing trip.
