Smaller businesses across the Isle of Wight and throughout Hampshire and Dorset have a chance to shine and win prize money of up to £12,000, in the FSB and Worldpay UK Business Awards 2017.
Entry is now open for these prestigious awards, which celebrate the cream of the SME world and reward smaller business excellence in all areas from Best Family Business to Employer of the Year. With 11 categories to enter, including 4 new ones for 2017, there is a category to suit every type of smaller business.
The FSB and Worldpay UK Business Awards 2017 will showcase business stars across the UK and once entries close on 17th February, expert smaller business judges will select 11 category winners in 12 areas across the UK. This will see 132 SMEs being recognised for their hard work, business brilliance and innovation within their own geographical areas.
The grand final will take place on 10th May 2017 in a glittering ceremony staged at the Underglobe Swan Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and hosted, once again by businessman Tim Campbell MBE, the original winner of the BBC’s ‘The Apprentice’.
Each of the 11 category winners will receive cash prizes of £2,000 and are in the running to be crowned the FSB Worldpay UK Business of the Year 2017. The exceptional business and overall winner awarded this accolade will also win a further cash prize of £10,000.
Tim Campbell MBE says:
“Small businesses have always been incredibly important to the UK economy and it is great that I get the chance to join The FSB and Worldpay Business Awards for another year celebrating the brilliant achievement of the worthy finalists. The energy and inspiration generated by last year’s award entrants makes me really excited about hosting the ceremony again this year!”
Neil Eames, Development Manager for FSB in Dorset, Hampshire and Isle of Wight says:
“The FSB and Worldpay UK Business Awards have been giving smaller businesses the opportunity to tell their story and demonstrate the excellence that exists within the dynamic world of SMEs for four years now.
“With the chance for smaller businesses to celebrate their success both regionally and nationally, the FSB and Worldpay UK Business Awards level the playing field for entrants, as smaller businesses are not competing against bigger businesses, but against similarly sized enterprises. I am really excited to see the innovative smaller business that enter this year.”
Any business with under 250 employees can enter the FSB and Worldpay UK Business Awards 2017 for free, via online entry at fsbworldpayawards.org.uk and businesses may enter as many categories as they wish. Online entry will close at midnight on 17th February and area category winners will be announced in March 2017.
