Over 80 people made their way to Quay Arts in Newport last Wednesday for the ever-growing IOW Soup evening, with a total of £322.54 donated by guests.
The strong attendance – the biggest turnout yet – listened to pitches from Ability Dogs 4 Young People, The Wave Project, Meraki Handmade Leather Goods and @thestudio. Afterwards everyone enjoyed soup donated by Tesco and live music from Richard Morris playing tracks from his new EP, ‘Stay Alive’.
As per the format of the evening, a vote was cast and it was decided that the money donated on the door should go towards a custom-made harness for a new trainee assistance dog at Ability Dogs 4 Young People.
The next event is Tuesday 13th June at 18:30 at Aspire, Dover Street, Ryde.
