The Maternity Department at St Mary’s Hospital is now welcoming partners of expectant mothers for both 12-week and 20-week scans.
As of today (Monday), mums-to-be can once again be accompanied for their ultrasound scan appointments.
Due to the pandemic and a surge in cases, the decision was previously taken to restrict appointments in order to protect all involved. However, that decision has now been reviewed as cases drop and the pressure on the NHS eases.
A spokesperson said:
“We are pleased to announce that as from Monday, partners will be able to attend the 12 and 20 week scan appointments.
“We will continue to review this on a regular basis. Thank you all again for your continued support and understanding”.
