A serial offender who damaged a gate and a drainpipe – and said that the best thing magistrates could do would be to send him to prison – will be sentenced in August. Terence Perkins, of Culver Parade in Sandown, admitted criminal damage when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on Tuesday (18th June). Prosecutor Lauren Stone told the court that an intoxicated Perkins arrived at his partner’s address in Ventnor – somewhere he knows not to go when he is drunk – on 15th March this year. Perkins, holding a bottle of rum in 1 hand and a bottle of brandy in the other, attempted to get inside the premises before retreating to the nearby bus stop. Despite waiting for the bus, Perkins didn’t flag the bus down as it went past and instead headed toward the property and began to bang on the window. A short while later a neighbour alerted the female that the Police had been called after they had witnessed Perkins cause damage to a drain pipe and the side gate of the property. Perkins has a total of 17 convictions for a total of 31 offences, several of them for criminal damage. Addressing the court himself, Perkins said that ‘probation and inclusion are useless’ and ‘the best thing you can do is to send me to prison’. The case was adjourned until 2nd August to allow an ‘all options’ pre-sentence report to be compiled.

erm no perkins, you are useless – they cannot “make” you go straight – that requires you to show some willpower.
stop blaming others for your incompetence and stupidity
The point is he s right the sentences are just useless especially suspended what good are they the judges are a dissgrace if they are limited in their actions Change the system for Christ sake they are supposed to be in charge but just take the money and run.
Well said , but he needs guidance from God.
What a cop-out. Pull yourself together you pathetic moron. It’s your life, your actions and your problem, not societies. Sort it out and become a useful person.
The irony. All of your words to utter the musing of a farm animal. Why aren’t you just like me why aren’t we all the same why isn’t he just another cog in the system. If he can’t be useful to the cause maybe he should just get out of the way. When are you going to wake up and realise the facts. Not all people are wired the same… in time of lgbtqxyz where it is OK to be different why are other areas of difference in society still so off limits in your minds. Because your told what to think. And your simple minded so I suspect you like it that way. Isle of wight divs
LOL – that comment is going to go down well on here… Good luck.
Mark is right though, everyone is responsible for their own actions.
clown – that idiot is a burden on others, an unwanted presence, perhaps he needs to take the hint and sort his self out – or dissapear for good
I pray for you Terence, may the Lord Jesus christ , guide you on a better path.
