Wightlink has announced that it’s Fastcat catamaran service is to remain suspended until 28th March, with a weekday-only service to continue on the company’s Yarmouth route.
Timetables for March have been released by the cross-Solent operator that reveal the Ryde Pier Head-Portsmouth Harbour foot passenger service remains suspended with tickets arrangements in place with Hovertravel set to continue until Sunday 28th March.
The Yarmouth-Lymington service will continue to operate a weekday-only service as it has done since early January.
Travellers are informed that there have also been some amendments to the Fishbourne-Portsmouth car ferry service. The latest timetables can be found at www.wightlink.co.uk/updates.
Wightlink says that timetables may be amended if the Government’s COVID restrictions are changed. It is currently anticipated that Boris Johnson will announce a roadmap out of lockdown on 22nd February with changes coming into force from 8th March.

once again – short sighted by wightlink – as more begin to go back to work, there won’t be the space on the hovercraft and there will be queues and delays.
get the damned cat back on and stop stalling.
Stop all the visitors coming over just allow the workers and freight or you will put us back into another lockdown .Your happy enough to take the government hand outs so stick to the rules
They are not handouts. We will be paying them back for many years too come.
Yes, but it looks like it’ll be making the most of the Easter hoarded a week later!
Total kick in the teeth again to teachers…thanks for supporting the key workers wight link.
i agree – where is their commitment to supporting the islands commuters having the ability to return to work, without having to queue up for the hover and then work out how to get to portsmouth station, when there is only one bus every half hour.
Why do they call it FastCat ???
