At least 9 beach huts have been broken into and damaged at Puckpool near Ryde.
Locks have been tampered with, doors smashed and felting ripped off the roofs with the contents of the huts sprawled across the surrounding grassed area.
It is thought the criminal damage was committed sometime between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. The incident has been reported to Police.
The Isle of Wight Council informed beach hut owners yesterday and many of them attended to secure their property.
It comes just a week after beach huts at The Duver, St Helens were broken into.
• Walkers and cyclists are advised to take care when traveling between Appley and Puckpool due to a collapse manhole cover.
