A total of 65 Rainbows and 6 Brownies from Girlguiding IW, together with their leaders from units across the Island, visited Adventure Wonderland in Hurn, Dorset recently.
All the girls were met at the gate of this popular attraction by Alice, the White Rabbit and the Mad Hatter before continuing to have a fun-filled day.
There were funfair rides and a visit to the outdoor adventure play area, as well as getting lost in the giant maze. In the middle of the day they all enjoyed a musical show featuring Alice, the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts with these characters entering the Great British Bake Off with the Queen of Heart’s jam tarts.
Organised by Carol Firth, this day proved to be a great day out for all the girls and their leaders.
Carol, Girlguiding IW Commissioner for the Needles Section said:
“I would like to thank all the leaders for giving their time taking the girls to such an adventure and allowing them the opportunity to spread their wings. Also there was the chance to meet many other Rainbows from around the Island and make lasting friends.”
