ACCESS TO ORCHARD BAY RESTORED AFTER 2 YEARS

isleofwightcouncillogoThe Isle of Wight Council’s Rights of Way team have reopened public access to the remote but much-appreciated Orchard Bay in Ventnor after more than 2 years.

A public footpath to the bay was destroyed as a result of heavy storms 2 years ago, but the Council has now introduced beach access steps in place of the lost path in order to provide the public access to this idyllic spot.

The Isle of Wight Council have said that they would like to thank the owners of the land on which the steps have been placed. Visitors are reminded that part of the Bay is private and should only be used for normal and quiet beach activities and recreation.
