Once logged on to www.wightlink.co.uk, visitors to the site are offered the choice of which version of the site they wish to see; Island or mainland. It means that the site now delivers the information which is most relevant to Island residents, such as the status of services leaving from the Island and Island specific offers and products.
Through listening to and learning from customer feedback, as well as analysing how Islanders are using the website, it will be constantly improved to best serve the needs of the Island.
The Island-focused side of the website will feature exclusive discounts and offers for Island residents travelling with Wightlink, such as those recently negotiated with top attractions including Go Ape, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and Beaulieu. The growing number of exclusive offers mean Islanders can get fantastic value experiences and days out, just by showing a valid Wightlink ticket on arrival at the attraction. Islanders are encouraged to regularly check the website for the very latest offers.
Mark Persad, Head of Marketing at Wightlink, said:
“The changes make it so much more user-friendly for Island residents to get the information they need at the click of a button. As an Island resident myself, I know how important it is to find the best options for travelling across the Solent and the new Island site makes it so much easier for our customers.”
