The Wightlink Warriors speedway team have started their commitment to support community events whenever possible by backing the latest Godshill Players production.
The group of amateur thespians have raised significant sums of money over the years and this year’s 3 nights of Cinderella was no exception.
A thrilled Vicky Gouldbourn said:
“The cast of Godshill Players would like to thank the Wightlink Warriors for their kind donation of a family ticket and a polo shirt for our raffle. Our production of Cinderella has raised £700.00 for Beaulieu Respite House for disabled children in Newport on the Isle of Wight. The money we have raised will help take disabled children on trips and to help give families a break.
“Thanks Warriors for your support.”
The Warrior’s Sponsor and Hospitality Manager, Angie Cooper said:
“The Warriors are delighted to have played a small part in raising this terrific sum by the Godshill Players for Beaulieu Respite House to support the great work they do for families and children. Vicky and her team have done a wonderful job in taking this from idea to performance and judging by the sum raised it was a job very well done.
“The Wightlink Warriors are committed to support those who support our community on the Isle of Wight and this is the first of many community updates from the Warriors”.
