If you want to register for Walk the Wight this year you’d better get your skates on as online registrations are set to close at midnight on Sunday 24th April.
More than 3,000 people have already signed up for the event which takes place on Sunday 15th May, along with over 1,500 primary school children who have registered for Schools Walk the Wight.
For those that miss the deadline, Hospice shops across the Island will be offering the Pay 25 registration pack until Saturday 14th May.
Jax Jones, Major Events Fundraiser, explained how the Pay 25 pack is raising much needed funds for the Hospice.
“Over £13k has been raised so far with sales of the Pay 25 pack, which is fantastic” she said “people are finding this a great way to support the event knowing they have instantly made a donation to the Hospice, and if they wish, can raise even more funds with the sponsorship form included in the pack”.
You can still register for the standard pack, where you aim to raise as much money as possible, and the pledge pack, where you make a commitment to raise at least £100 in sponsorship, either online at walkthewight.com or at a Hospice shop, until Sunday 24th April.
