A team from the University of Kent’s Sailing and Windsurfing club are to sail from Kent to Poole stopping at six RNLI stations along the way – including on the Isle of Wight.
As part of Kent University’s 50th anniversary, the team will sail along the south coast volunteering at each station they visit to raise funds for the life-saving charity. The team will reach Yarmouth RNLI on Wednesday 15th April before making their way to the finishing line in Poole.
‘Sail to Save: The Six Station Challenge’ begins on Friday 10th and will see the fundraisers out on the water for a week. They have already raised £2500 for the cause.
