Last Thursday (29th January), all GCSE Drama and A Level Theatre studies students at Christ the King College attended a workshop with award winning Theatre designer Ellen Nabarro.
Ellen has designed productions at the Donmar Warehouse, National Theatre and Gielgud Theatre to name a few: Her current design of ‘Curious Incident of the dog in the night time’ is touring the United Kingdom and currently playing on Broadway.
Students had the opportunity to discuss design concepts for their own practical work and gained an insight into Ellen’s working practice and how designers collaborate within a professional context.
Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working with a professional Theatre Designer and will be able to use this experience to enhance their studies.
