A new Post Office ‘local’ service is set to be offered in St Helens, meaning over 50 additional hours of trading for the village’s Post Office.
The Post Office terminal will sit alongside the retail till meaning an additional 51 opening hours including Saturday’s and Sunday. The 7-days-a-week service will be offered Monday – Saturday between 06:00 and 20:00 and Sundays between 06:30 and 19:30.
The branch in Upper Green Road needs to close for refurbishment on Saturday 1st November at 13:00, however the retail store will remain open. The branch will then reopen in its new local format on Tuesday 11th November at 13:00.

- Bembridge Post Office, 4 Lane End Court, Bembridge, PO35 5UE
- Seaview Post Office, Dobsons, 4 Pier Road, Seaview, PO34 5BL
Customers will be able to access a wide range of Post Office and mails services, including Special Delivery, Local Collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals. Other services include withdrawals using a Post Office Card Account, send funds abroad using Moneygram, and customers can pay bill, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.
The shop will continue to offer a range of local produce Inc. meat, bread, fruit and vegetables and will look to expand its lines over the coming months.
