Islander Sarah Toplass is set to have her blonde locks shaved off for charity next month by wildlife celebrity, Chris Packham.
Sarah is raising funds for Cancer Research UK – and Barnardo’s – after her granddad was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer recently. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy, which will give him a little extra time.
On Saturday 12th December at 14:00, Sarah will brave the shave at the Isle of Wight Zoo at the hands of Chris Packham.
Sarah said:
“I want to not only raise as much money as possible, but raise as much awareness of pancreatic cancer as I can as the current survival rate is around 10% due to a difficult and often late diagnosis”.
You can support Sarah by visiting her Justgiving page at www.justgiving.com/teams/SarahsWildHeadShave.
There will also be a donation box at Envy Hair and Beauty in Carisbrooke and in the entrance of the Isle of Wight Zoo.
