Sponsors, supporters and helpers of Ryde Rowing Club were entertained at an informal gathering at their Clubhouse on Friday evening (30th January) to thank them for their support during the last year.
After a welcome and thanks from Club Captain Peter Allsopp and a short presentation on the clubs activities and successes in 2014, a presentation was made to Carole and Jason Morris – and of course Finley – for “Finley’s Fund” in support of CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people and their families.
Following various fund raising activities the club was able to hand over a cheque for £400 to Finley to help the families local fund raising efforts for the charity that did so much to support them during Finleys’ illness.
