The historic Ryde Castle is to be used as the main hub for the launch of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series on 14th May.
The seafront hotel will be home to the cycling teams and stewards as they prepare to start round one of the exciting British cycling tour, which finishes in Bath on 11th June.
Manager of Ryde Castle, Chris Francis, said:
“We have generous sized and great-looking facilities in a prime location, giving the organisers everything they need to put on a first class event. Our popular Castle Suite will be the main hub of activity where organisers will brief stewards and cyclists on the route.
“Whether you are a cycling fan or not, I am sure the occasion will generate a lot of buzz locally and the whole team at Ryde Castle is very excited.”
Olympic gold medallist Sir Bradley Wiggins has recently set up his own cycling team, Team Wiggins, which will be competing in the Pearl Izumi Tour Series against other elite cycling stars.
The Pearl Izumi Tour Series is usually covered by ITV4 and the spectacle is expected to attract a great deal of attention.
