2 well-known Isle of Wight farmers are set to take over Brownrigg’s Farm Shop, a popular local produce and butchery on the outskirts of Godshill.
Current owners Paul and Sue have decided that after 30 years of running butcheries, farmers markets and the farm shop, it is time to take a step back.
Andrew Hodgson of Cheverton Farm, Shorwell and Philip Morris of Atherfield are to take on the roadside farm shop – formally Godshill Organics – in the New Year.
As well as farming livestock at Shorwell, Andrew runs The Isle of Wight Meat Co.. Philip grows vegetables in Atherfield and runs Farmhouse Fayre in Newport.
Customers will be pleased to know that familiar team members will still be working at the shop when it changes handed on 1st January. Shane will be serving at the meat counter 6 days a week and Patty will be in the kitchen cooking pies, sausage rolls and a new range of ready meals. Abi, Hannah, Steve and Gill will be keeping the shop stocked with all the old favourites and plenty of exciting new products.
The news was announced by Brownrigg’s on Monday.
Home deliveries and click and collect will still be available using the current website.
