Red Funnel is operating services throughout the Christmas period this year, helping Islanders and people on the mainland to stay connected with friends and family.
The Christmas and New Year timetable sees vehicle ferry crossings running every day, including sailings on Christmas Day, departing from Southampton at 09:00 and 12:00 and from East Cowes at 10:30 and 13:30. In addition, the Red Jet Hi-Speed foot passenger service operates every day apart from Christmas Day.
Red Funnel is the only provider to offer transport between the Isle of Wight and the mainland on Christmas Day and will treat those travelling on 25th December to free mulled wine and mince pies.
The on board festive food and drink offering extends beyond Christmas Day with a full Christmas dinner available on the vehicle and foot passenger service throughout December, along with themed hot drinks, mulled wine, mince pies and paninis.
The Christmas fun will kick off on 20th December when passengers on board Red Osprey will be treated to carols from Hampshire-based musical theatre company, Milton Musical during the late morning and early afternoon.

In the New Year, customers who make a 2015 vehicle ferry booking before 6th January will be able to do so at 2014 prices. As well as this, customers making vehicle bookings more than 30 days in advance of travelling can secure their booking with a £25 deposit with the balance payable 30 days prior to the departure date. Advance vehicle ferry bookings can currently be made up to and including 1st November 2015.
