The Isle of Wight Steam Railway has been awarded a Silver in the Large Visitor Attraction of the Year category at the Tourism South East Awards 2015.
The mystery shopper who visited the Havenstreet attraction as a part of the judging process awarded 97.1% and said:
“I would not describe myself as a railway enthusiast, but visiting the IW Steam Railway was completely enjoyable.”

A further Silver went to the Mary Rose Museum and Visitor Centre. The Bletchley Park Code Breaker Centre picked up the Gold award.
