22-year-old Natasha Pink from Newport is to be sentenced next month after pleading guilty to unlawful wounding.
As first reported by Island Echo, a 26-year-old man staggered into the Crispin pub on Newport High Street on 7th November. He had received a puncture wound to his chest and was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital.
As part of Hampshire Constabulary’s investigations into the incident, Miss Pink was charged with Section 18 attempted wounding with intent. She appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on 9th November and was remanded in custody.
Pink, of Caesars Road, appeared at the Isle of Wight Crown Court earlier today (Monday) and pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawful wounding. She denied the more serious charge of wounding with intent.
She will be sentenced on 19th January, with an application for bail expected to be submitted this week.
