22-year-old Natasha Pink from Caesars Road, Newport has been given a suspended sentence for the unlawful wounding of a 26-year-old man.
On 7th November last year a man walked into The Crispin pub on Newport High Street after receiving a puncture wound to the chest, as first reported by Island Echo. Pink had taken a knife from the kitchen side and jabbed him.
It wasn’t long before Natasha Pink was arrested by Police and later charged with Section 18 attempted wounding with intent. She appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on 9th November and was remanded until 18th December.
It was at the Isle of Wight Crown Court last month that Pink pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawful wounding, denying the more serious charge of wounding with intent.
Today (Monday) the 22-year-old was sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended for 2 years.
