The parish council say they were given the impression that no changes to the existing arrangements would be implemented until the New Year.
In a statement issued, a spokesperson for Freshwater Parish Council said:
“We know how dependent many of our vulnerable residents are on this facility.
“We have been in discussion with officers from the Isle of Wight Council and County Councillors to endeavour to secure the future of the free half hour parking at Moa Place on behalf of our residents, and we will continue to fight for the reinstatement of this valued community resource”.
