Parents on the Isle of Wight are being reminded of the closing date for primary school applications for children due to start school in September.
The deadline is 16:30 on Thursday (15th January). Applications received after that date will be treated as late and will not be considered until after places have been allocated to children whose applications were received on time.
Parents or carers who have difficulties accessing the Internet can request an application form by telephoning 01983 823455.
Forms can be completed online via the Isle of Wight Council’s website at www.iwight.com/schooladmissions.
If you are applying for a place at a church aided primary school, then you should contact the school direct as you will need to complete their supplementary information form. This form also needs to be returned direct to the appropriate school by Thursday 15th January 2015 at 16:.30. Forms returned to the schools after the closing date will also be classed as late.
Parents or guardians who apply online will automatically receive an email response confirming that their application form has been received electronically; parents are advised to check that they receive this confirmation. The deadline for online applications is also 16:30 on Thursday 15 January 2015.
The council will subsequently process the admission forms in preparation for National Offer Day later in the year.
