A gun produced for Nazi Germany is 1 of 4 potentially lethal weapons discovered at a house in Shanklin today (Sunday).
The Mauser HSc – a 7.65mm pistol made during World War II – was found during a house clearance.
The Nazi gun was found alongside 3 other pistols, including an automatic J.P Sauer & Sohn 1913 pistol.
Those that discovered the weapons did the right thing by informing the Police, who in turn sent specialist firearms officers to the scene.
Now in the hands of the authorities, the guns will be registered on a national database before they are destroyed.

The German gun should be deactivated and given to a museum.
And the 1913 pistol – that must be fairly rare now.
Why destroy them? It’s part of history and should be given to a museum of some sort. Obviously once made safe
Criminal to destroy a piece of history.
Don’t tell them your name pike
