Islanders are expected to be given the first COVID-19 vaccine from early next week, but those with significant allergies to vaccines, food or medicines are now being advised not to take the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine.
As previously reported by Island Echo, it has been confirmed that the first doses of the potentially life-saving vaccine will arrive on the Isle of Wight on Monday or Tuesday, with a second batch arriving later next week. A third will arrive the week commencing 21st December.
Those over the age of 80 in the Central and West Wight areas are the first in line for the jab.
However, medical professionals are now warning NHS Trusts around the country not to give the vaccine to those who suffer from significant allergies. It comes after 2 NHS workers suffered allergic reactions shortly after taking the vaccine on Monday.
The staff members suffered an anaphylactoid reaction to the vaccine and have received the appropriate treatment. They are recovering well.
Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has stated that any person with a history of a significant allergic reaction to a vaccine, medicine or food (such as previous history of anaphylactoid reaction or those who have been advised to carry an adrenaline autoinjector) should not receive the Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine.
Resuscitation facilities should be available at all times for all vaccinations, it is now advised.

Their vaccine narrative is really falling apart now. It’s potentially the greatest con in medical history. When dust eventually clears on this, and it will, anyone involved in pushing it through, be it Govt, Media, Pharma or Healthcare professionals – should all be held liable.
The pfizer vaccine is not being licensed in countries that have laws that would allow claims against them. Let that sink in.
I just cannot believe that any person authorised to give you this extremely rushed through injection hasn’t been instructed to ask if you have any history of allergic reactions first. I Hope they’ve asked this in the care homes especially.
No chance! Remember they put people in the care homes with covid,and killed thousands. Do you think that they are going to worry when you cant bring any legal challenge against them!
And it is known to cause adverse effects, if mixed with other medication.
I’ve had the flu jab that’s good enough for me and my wife. No chance of us having this rushed through vaccine. Until they introduce a vaccine with zero side effects apart from the normal sore arm and aches the government can stick it. And before anybody trolls me I can assure you that my wife and myself follow all the rules from face masks to social distancing.
Good grief! But this is what happens when trials are quick and we don’t see the bigger picture nor long term effects. And let’s not forget this particular vaccine is a mRNA vaccine, the very first of its kind and until the beginning of this year was actually ‘theoretical medical science’. Be careful people!

Anyone who takes this ‘vaccine’ is a moron of the highest order. I think of it as Darwinism doing its work. Inject something to protect against a virus that has a 99.9% survival rate. And the creators of the vaccine have immunity against any possible side effects. Good luck if idiots want to take this.
