Philip Bell, local published author and publisher at Beachy books, has announced that he is now supplying the latest published children’s books direct to Island schools and nurseries via their newly launched Beachy Books School Book Club.
Every term Philip selects the latest children’s books to suit all school ages at great discounts. The books range from the latest fiction bestsellers to exciting non-fiction and fiction that ties in with the school curriculum. The more books that children and parents buy from the Beachy Books School Book Club, the more free books are supplied to the school or nurseries involved.
Philip said:
“We have already successfully trialled our School Book Club with a number of nurseries and four primary schools on the Island including Newchurch, Nettlestone, Brading and Dover Park, and have donated our own Jack and Boo books and some copies of a charity book called Refuge, a retelling of the Nativity story linking in with the current refugee crisis, where £5 of the cover price goes direct to the War Child charity.
“The more schools get involved the better discounts we can offer and the more free books we can donate to school libraries, so get in touch if you want to be involved. It’s free and we do all the work so you cannot lose.
“It’s heartening to have had so many orders already and lots of happy customers”.
