Following on from the very popular introduction of extra early services for the Great South Run last October, Hovertravel has announced that this year it will extend its timetable for Walk the Wight in May, the Victorious Festival in August and again for the Great South Run in October.
Loretta Lale, Commercial and Marketing Manager at Hovertravel, explains:
“When we trialled the early services last year, we had an overwhelming response and this combined with our own staff volunteering to start early to support charity events, has allowed us to offer these additional crossings.
“The Walk the Wight and Great South Run events are always on Sundays when we normally start later than our weekday services, so we are delighted to be able to help with both these great events and our staff’s support reflects the team’s dedication and commitment towards our customers”.
The huge success of the Victorious Festival and its location on Southsea Common are very appealing to Isle of Wight residents who want to enjoy the entire event and not spend much time travelling.
Loretta added:
“We have added later services on both nights of the Victorious Festival which co-ordinate with the last act finishing so our customers can experience the whole day without having to leave before the finale”.
