Four inflatable overlays bought for £295 by the Friends of St Mary’s Hospital for the Fracture Clinic and Main Outpatients have been much appreciated.
The overlays, two for trolleys and two for chairs, are aimed at making patients more comfortable and prevent pressure sores.
The Friends is a charity largely run by volunteers, dedicated to further improving the lives of patients and staff of the NHS on the Island. It raises funds from its hospital shop and cafeterias, and from donations, special events and legacies.
