Joan Ellis signed copies of her romantic comedy ‘I am Ella. Buy me’ and psychological thriller ‘The Killing of Mummy’s Boy’ on board the Red Falcon ferry yesterday (Friday) following an appearance at the Isle of Wight Literary Festival on Thursday.
Ferry passengers queued to meet Joan and receive signed copies of her novels, as well as talk to her about Island life.
Joan, who lives on the Isle of Wight, is one of ten local authors to speak at the Literary Festival, which runs until Sunday (19th October) at Northwood House in Cowes and is sponsored by Red Funnel. Other guest authors include Alan Titchmarsh, Katie Price and Jay Rayner.
Jonathan Green, sales and marketing director at Red Funnel, said:
“We’re very proud to be sponsoring the Isle of Wight Literary Festival for the third year, and showcasing literary talent from the Island as well as around the UK. It’s been fantastic having Joan on board today and it’s clear that our passengers loved having the opportunity to meet her and talk about her books.”
