DRIVER FINED AFTER REFUSE LORRY CRASH

20140109-132412.jpgThe driver of a Dacia Duster car that was heavily damaged following a collision with a refuse lorry in Cowes has been fined by the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.

Jeremey Hallam, 58 of Broadwood Lane, Newport appeared in front of Magistrates last week having been charged with driving without due care and attention and driving without insurance. Hallam pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention and has been ordered to pay over £450.

It was said that Mr Hallam could not remember the cause of the collision, which happened on 9th January on Mill Hill Road, as previously reported by Island Echo.
