UPDATED: Cowes post office is on the move from its temporary home in M&S car park to a new temporary home at Cowes Yacht Haven.
The Post Office have been operating from the car park at the rear of the former Co-Operative store on Terminus Road following the store’s closure earlier this year. However, an agreement with new owners Marks and Spencer is coming to an end meaning Post Office services will operate from nearby Cowes Yacht Haven from December.
An official date for the move has yet to be confirmed.
Julia Marwood, Regional Area Manager, said:
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of the branch.
“We are committed to maintaining Post Office services in Cowes. We have been working hard to achieve this by providing two temporary solutions.
“We hope to soon be able to announce our proposal for a permanent Post Office at a new location in Cowes”.
Opening hours for the temporary site will remain the same.
UPDATE: The current branch in Marks & Spencer car park will close on 12th November at 17:30, with the new location at Cowes Yacht Haven opening on 1st December at 09:00.
