The Isle of Wight Council’s ‘Short Breaks’ service is now taking bookings online for its specialist holiday facilities.
The team helps organise services and activities for children and young people with disabilities and/or additional needs where they can join in with safe, fun and interesting activities.
The service operates both a lodge at Nodes Point Holiday Park in St Helens and a caravan at Lower Hyde Holiday Park in Shanklin. Both facilities have been converted to meet the needs of short breaks users.
Both the lodge and the caravan contain specially adapted equipment including an electric hoist. Anyone booking a stay can also use the entertainment facilities at the holiday parks.
Each facility is subject to availability.
Full details about each facility and how to book is available at the Short Breaks section on the council’s website at www.iwight.com/shortbreaks or you can call 01983 823168.
