Police are this week investigating an attempted robbery and assault on a 20-year-old man in Newport.
The young man was walking along Nelson Road in Newport sometime between midnight and 00:30 on Thursday (2nd October) when he spoke to two men and a woman. One of them then tried to take the victim’s rucksack and assaulted him.
Although the offenders left empty handed, the victim received bruising and a cut to his head.
Now, Police are searching for the wanted suspects, who are described as
- A white man, 26 to 28 years old, 5ft 10ins to 6ft, stocky muscular build with light coloured short cropped hair
- A white man, 23 years old, skinny build, dark short hair wearing glasses and riding a dark coloured BMX.
- A white woman, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 8ins, chubby build, brown long hair past her shoulders.
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Katy Lee at Newport police station on 101.
