Ryde based PC Consultants have recently taken on a new employee, Daniel Dunn after he successfully completed his Higher Level 4 Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals with the company.
During the 2-year apprenticeship Dan attended Highbury College one day a week and outside of this worked closely the team of professionally qualified IT engineers and consultants at PC Consultants to further develop his learning, skills and experience.
Back in 2014 Jonathan Thornton, Managing Director of PC Consultants created this opportunity within the business and highlighted that whilst apprenticeships offer undoubted growth opportunities for businesses, not enough were taking advantage.
Jonathan comments:
“The apprenticeship was a real win-win. For us, Dan came into the business under a tailored apprenticeship programme and was able to make a positive contribution from day one. For Dan we provided a professional vocational environment in which he could develop his skills as part of a highly focussed IT team.”
Dan now joins the PC Consultants team to further develop his skills and is already well known by many of the companies leading clients, such as Solent Composite Systems, Cowes Yacht Haven and FW Marsh.
Dan adds:
“Completing my Apprenticeship with PC Consultants and to now fully join them team and to work in supporting many of the Islands leading companies is exactly what wanted to achieve when I started my apprenticeship 2 years ago, I could not have asked for more.”
