Hampshire Constabulary are appealing for witnesses to a collision on Coppins Bridge roundabout involving 2 vehicles – 1 of which was a Police car.
The force would like to hear from anyone that witnessed this incident, or the moments leading up to it.
The circumstances are that at around 15:36 on Friday 20th November, a Volkswagen Passat and a Police vehicle collided on the roundabout, just before The Church on the Roundabout.
The Police vehicle was double crewed and both officers sustained injuries and were transported to St Mary’s Hospital. Both were released after being assessed.
The driver of the Volkswagen Passat was unharmed.

There was a Volkswagen driving errectly around that time prior (3.32pm) going down the dual constantly under taking cars on inside lane to then swerve back into 2nd lane! dangerous driver!
I am very surprised that all police cars don’t have dash cams fitted
Police need to realise just because the blue lights are on doesn’t mean they can drive like lunatics especially round coppins bridge roundabout.
