UPDATED: Mechanical problems on one of Wightlink’s Wight Ryder vessels is set to continue to cause disruption into tomorrow (Tuesday), the company have announced this evening.
Sailings departing Portsmouth Harbour at 15 minutes past each hour and Ryde Pier Head at 47 minutes past each hour, will still run as timetabled, however the 06:40 ex Portsmouth Harbour will not be running. In addition the following sailings will be performed by a charter vessel, with a crossing time of approximately 25 minutes.
Times for the additional sailings are as follows:
07:10/ 08:10/09:10 from Ryde Pier Head
07:40/08:40 from Portsmouth Harbour
As previously reported by Island Echo, cancellations and adjustments to the timetable were put into place last night and continued throughout today.
UPDATE WEDNESDAY: The Cross-Solent company have announced further cancellations and timetable amendments.
The catamaran service between Ryde Pier Head and Portsmouth Harbour will today operate as per yesterday with the above cancellations and additional sailings in place.
UPDATE @ 07:20 – The mechanical problem with one of the Wight Ryder vessels has been resolved and therefore a normal timetable will be in operation today.
