UPDATED: The Met Office have issued a weather warning for fog overnight and into tomorrow morning (Thursday).
The yellow ‘be aware’ warning, in force between 02:00 and 10:15, is warning motorists in particular that visibility will be reduced down to less than 200m in places.
UPDATE @ 11:12 – Fog is expected to become widespread and locally dense again through tonight and into Friday morning. Visibility is likely to fall below 100 metres at times, locally less than 50 metres.
Travel disruption is expected on Wightlink’s Yarmouth-Lymington car ferry, Red Funnel’s Red Jet service and Hovertravel’s Ryde-Southsea service.
