Island Line train services has been suspended once again today (Friday) due to a landslip at Sandown.
The gardens of three properties near to Foxes Bridge have fallen even further since Sunday and have caused safety concerns, resulting in the suspension of Island Line’s service between Shanklin and Ryde St John’s.
The points at Ryde Esplanade and the damage to Ryde Pier are still ongoing problems in addition to the landslip.
Taxis are replacing trains between Ryde Pier Head and Ryde Esplanade and buses are replacing trains between Ryde Esplanade and Shanklin, departing from Ryde Esplanade at XX:50 and departing from Shanklin at XX:38. Journey times may be extended by up to 30 minutes.
