Police on the Isle of Wight have arrested, questioned and bailed a 14-year-old suspected drug dealer.
The teenage boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply in Newport High Street yesterday afternoon (Monday).
Officers seized a bag of white tablets, which are suspected to be Class A drugs.
The youth has since released him on bail until 19th October, pending further enquiries.

He’s not under age. Age of criminal responsibility is 10yrs.
Parents are responsible for their children up to the age of 18 years. Criminal activity regarding children, commit the crime, do the time in my view. Too many of these little ferral sh*TS thinking they are gangsters ruining wild and out of control in society these days. They need bringing into reality and taught respect and manners. A failing by todays modern parenting skills, or lack of any parental guidance at all probably.

Today, it is called Young Offenders, a new name for Borstal. If they go into one of these places, they probably come out more of a little sh*t than when they went in. Lots of violence and bullying in these places.
We’ve had a massive overhaul of Safeguarding in recent years. The police know full well that a child selling drugs is very likely to be being exploited by older people (this includes shop lifting and sometimes sex). Not the parents. Where do you think a 14 year old gets class A pills from.

This is a disgrace. Unbelievable. I wonder what this child’s home life is like? 14 years of age. Must be County Lines drugs he’s selling. Scum of the earth drug dealers, getting children to sell their filth. The authorities in the countries where they grow this crap should make more of an effort to find it at source and destroy it, this is the only way the war on drugs can be won. The sellers are just tiny little worms in a very large tank of Vipers!

He will no doubt have a brother, or slightly older friend who supplies him, as no self respecting dealer will sell to kids- there are some unwritten rules, although some dealers are worse than others.
the fact that he might be “doing a bit of bird” at young offenders will be seen as a badge of honour and will simply add to his credibility amongst his peer group upon release. He will be strutting around like the cat that got the cream, thriving off the fear of his drug dealing, prison track record.
make no mistake – he will happily carry on, along this path for many years to come and it is unlikely there will be any changes, apart from being in and out of prison.
