The Seaview Hotel has announced that it will remain closed until at least March as a result of the current uncertainty regarding the coronavirus pandemic.
The popular seaside hotel says it was a ‘tough decision’ to close the doors for the winter months, but a number of factors were taken into consideration including the likelihood of another lockdown, confusion about promoting non-essential travel and the changing guidance.
Over the next few months, the team will use the downtime to carry out hotel improvements.
A spokesperson has said:
“We are really sorry for the inconvenience and have made this decision with a heavy heart but it seems to be the responsible option for the team, visitors and business”.
