The search for a man reported by Police to be stuck on rocks near to Shanklin was called off earlier this morning (Saturday).
Sandown and Shanklin Independent Lifeboat was tasked to launch at around 08:00 following reports from Police of a man in difficulty between Shanklin and Ventnor, however it was soon discovered the man was safe and well at home.
The lifeboat was stood down and was rehoused ready for service.
