Red Funnel have cancelled a number of sailings on their vehicle ferry service tomorrow (Sunday).
The cross-Solent operator says that the timetable change is required in order to carry out essential maintenance to Red Falcon.
Those travelling East Cowes <> Southampton will be disrupted throughout the day on Sunday 20th September:
The following crossings have been cancelled:
Southampton to East Cowes: 07:00, 10:00, 13:00, 16:00
East Cowes to Southampton: 08:30, 11:30, 14:30, 17:30
Red Funnel apologise for any inconvenience caused.
What ever happened to the HGV only ferry ? Haven’t seen that for ages.

Real world interpretation – quote ” We have decided to ‘pull’ the service you booked and paid for, without ANY concern whatsoever for the inconvenience it causes you because our overpriced carriage charges means we got so few bookings we came up with the lie that it was because of ‘essential maintenance’ that if it were true we would have pre-scheduled, so we decided screw all our victims ” end quote.
