UPDATED: Police and ambulance crews were called to a property in Shanklin yesterday evening (Saturday) following the discovery of a man unconscious in the bathroom.
Officers remained on guard outside the property at Sibden Mews off of Victoria Avenue until the early hours of this morning.
Several Police units attended the incident at around 20:00.
Local witnesses have told Island Echo that there was a lot of screaming and shouting.
UPDATE @ 12:01 – It has been confirmed to Island Echo that the gentleman found at the property has unfortunately died.
Investigations into the death are ongoing.
