Lidl has recalled packs of chicken nuggets and chicken pops due to salmonella contamination.
It has been confirmed that salmonella has been found in some packs of Red Hen Breaded Chicken Nuggets (450g, Lot code 30493168) and Red Hen Southern Fried Chicken Pops (210g, Lot code L:22020 or L:21920).
The chicken nuggets and chicken pops identified as being a risk both have best before dates of February 2022.
The Food Standards Agency is advising customers that have purchased any of the affected products not to eat them. Instead, return them to a Lidl store for a full refund – with or without a receipt.
Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
