Members of the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, Hampshire Constabulary, HM Prisons and the Isle of Wight NHS are to compete in a new, dedicated football league.
It’s been a tough time for everyone recently and especially so for the emergency services, who have continued to work under significant pressure throughout. The Emergency Services Football League strives to improve the health and wellbeing of those individuals who carry the burden of being in a highly stressful role with significant risks associated with their undertaking.
The Isle of Wight league will see the 4 sides regularly compete against one another with the aim of progressing to then compete with mainland counterparts.
The first game will see IOW Prison Service take on IOW Police at Sandown & Lake’s Youth Pitch on The Fairway in Sandown on Sunday 20th September. Kick off 16:30.
