Healthwatch Isle of Wight has announced the launch of their annual priority setting survey. Unlike in previous years when an annual event would be held before the survey to establish the themes, this year the survey alone will determine the work plan.
The new look survey consists of a list of the top 20 most common Health or Care themes that have been reported to Healthwatch Isle of Wight over the past 12 months, such as Ambulance Services, Dentistry, Residential Homes, and asks that people choose their top 5 priorities by rating them with 1 being the most important to them and 5 being the least important. These will then determine the themes that Healthwatch will focus on for the next 18 months.
Chris Orchin, Chair of Healthwatch Isle of Wight said:
“This survey will ensure that the voices of the Isle of Wight residents are heard. There have been many invaluable pieces of feedback shared with Healthwatch over the past 12 months and we are determined to act on this feedback in the most appropriate and effective way.
“I would urge all residents to complete this survey as it is vital to giving them a say in how the services they access and depend on are run”.
The survey is open now at www.healthwatchisleofwight.co.uk and will run until 31st July.
Hard copy surveys are available from the Citizens Advice Bureau located at the Isle Help Advice Hub in Newport High Street. The survey can also be accessed online by visiting www.healthwatchisleofwight.co.uk
