Wightlink Wight Mountain Cycle Race Team riders Adam Holleyman, Kev Chant and Clint Oliver took part in the Julian Jenkins Memorial Time Trial earlier this month.
This event has always attracted many of the best riders from around the UK and this year was no exception, with 180 entrants.
The course was held along the A3 and consisted of a 10-mile time trial. The day was blessed with good weather conditions and light winds seeing riders reaching speeds in excess of 30mph.
Kev Chant was first off in the team in the road bike category and set a time of 19.35. Second to go was Adam Holleyman in the TT bike category setting a time of 19.55. Clint Oliver, who was also in the TT bike category, set a time of 20.22. Kev Chant took first place and Adam Holleyman finally got his all-time PB breaking the sub 20minutes.
Due to the lack of racing this year, the team were very pleased with there results and look to return next year to improve on their times.
