Passengers intending to use the Island Line network are being warned that the service will not be running in the Ryde area for the next 2 weekends.
Maintenance work means that no trains will be running between Ryde Pier Head and Ryde St John’s on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October.
Buses will be running between Ryde Esplanade and Ryde St John’s, whilst taxis will run up the Pier from Ryde Esplanade.
The same arrangements will be in place for the weekend of Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th October.
Meanwhile, a 1-train service is in operation between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin today (Tuesday) due to a technical fault.
Trains will be at XX:18 from Shanklin and at XX:49 from Ryde Pier Head.

If we had a real government / local government that cared about reducing emissions of greenhouse gasses public transport would get real investment.
And who would pay for it?
So nearly £50 million being spent on improvements to our train service doesn’t tick the ‘reducing emissions’ and ‘real investment’ boxes? There’s no pleasing some people!
